Introducing Heart of Gold: a beautiful and dramatic celebration of the bonds in our lives that endure. Designed using an intricate collage of antique artwork, it features hand-painted swallows from an 1865 scrapbook, floral wreaths from the 1600s, and a sacred heart from Notre Dame in France, which was embroidered with gilded thread and completed in 1872. The two swallows with wings outstretched (traditional symbols of loyalty) carry a ribbon between them as a reminder that even across distances, those we love will always be a part of us. The vintage banner proudly displays the motto, “Friendship, love, and truth.” This piece can be worn two ways, with the swallow on the front of the bodice, or the back depending on your mood. Made from 100% viscose derived from plant fibers such as wood and bamboo. Please note: The nature of this viscose means it’s slightly sheer, so we recommend wearing a full or half slip with this style.
