Born to Run blends vintage-washed heritage prints with two rearing racehorses by British painter George Stubbs. The antique banners, etched with mottos of rebellion like “Don’t fence me in” are a spirited nod to the wild west and the open road. The beautiful, airy backdrop behind the horses is a scenic lithograph from the 1897 World’s Fair and the faded florals and golden wheat were taken from an 1800s farmers diploma. The pen-and-ink stars and upturned horseshoe are antique drawings from the same era. And as a final, playful touch, a prancing mother horse and foal represent unbound freedom and joy. The whole design is trimmed in a washed heritage plaid. Crafted from 100% viscose derived from plant fibers such as wood and bamboo.
